About NIRI National
Founded in 1969, NIRI is a professional association of corporate officers and investor relations consultants responsible for communication among corporate management, the investing public and the financial community. Our members represent the majority of the largest publicly held corporations in the U.S. as well as many small and mid-sized companies. With over 4,300 members in 35 chapters around the country, NIRI sets the highest standards in education to advance the practice of investor relations and meet the growing professional development needs of those engaged in the field. About the Houston Chapter
The NIRI-Houston Chapter is one of the largest chapters in the United States, while a majority of our members are investor relations professionals, we also have a number of presidents, vice presidents, chief financial officers and corporate secretaries.
The Houston Chapter currently has around 150 Members. 85% of those members are corporate professionals (not service providers). 50% of our membership has been in Investor Relations for over 10 years. Our members represent a wide range of industries including, but not limited to, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, Service Industries, Real Estate, Chemicals, Food & Beverage, Biotech, Utilities & Power and Telecommunications. Cap size of member companies range from under $100M to over $10B and all of the major exchanges are represented.
Membership in NIRI entitles the investor relations professional to a wide range of services in the areas of educational programs, services and publications. Considered the “graduate school” of investor relations, NIRI provides conferences, publications, and networking for the professional development of its members.
